The chickens at Unidentified Flying Chickens are crawling back into their UFO saucer and leaving the East Village after just a short stay. EV Grieve points out that the owner of Murray Hill's Taproom 307 is applying for a liquor license for the space. The shutter comes as a bit of a surprise. The chainlet, which started in Queens, has lots of fans including Robert Sietsema. The space does seem to be cursed though. Apiary's revamp as Apres lasted only three weeks. No word on when UFC will pack up.
