For those courageous enough to brave the Arctic winds off the Hudson, there is now an outpost of hit Brooklyn ice cream shop Ample Hills in Manhattan to visit, at Gotham West Market. The creamery took over the kiosk where Jeni's Ice Cream was serving scoops before it moved down to the Gansevoort Market around Thanksgiving, and as of today has finally emerged from its plywood box. No word yet on a complete menu, but there are 12 flavors of ice cream here, including the new Hell's Kitchen Sink, which the team describes as: "A toast to the neighborhood's Irish roots." It has dark chocolate and Guinness stout ice cream, chili-spied brownies, cookie dough, and toffee bar pieces.
WE ARE SO EXCITED THAT @AMPLEHILLS IS NOW OPEN AT @GWMARKET! COME BY FOR ICE CREAM & TO TRY OUR EXCLUSIVE FLAVOR, "THE HELL'S KITCHEN SINK."

Meanwhile, the creamery's original location in Prospect Heights, which recently underwent a renovation, will start scooping again tomorrow.
