Caffe Dante's owner Mario Flotta has finally responded to Monday's rumors of the restaurant's forthcoming closure over on DNAinfo—and he's claiming that the whole story is a "false alarm." Flotta suspects that this rumor was probably started by a waitress with "a big mouth" and claims that it was wrong of his staff to perpetuate it. He reassures Caffe Dante devotees by saying "we're going to be here for a while yet." But, while there is no deal to sell the restaurant at the moment, Flotta adds that "anything is for sale if the price is right."
