Porchlight, Danny Meyer's First Bar, Will Have a Game Room and Bison Burgers

Just ahead of the opening, the bar's website is now live, as is the full cocktail list.

Porchlight, the first bar that Danny Meyer has ever opened, should make its debut in far West Chelsea before the month is out. In the meantime, the website is now live and almost fully functional, providing some vital new insights into what to expect when the king of hospitality enters the bar scene.

Most crucially, the entire cocktail menu is up. It includes drinks like a Cognac sazerac, a sherry cobbler, and something called a Two Car Parade, made with gin, green chartreuse, lime, ginger, and basil. The bar will also make its own cream soda, Shirley Temples, and cherry rickeys, and it looks like it has an extensive collection of whiskey and bourbon. Also, judging from the placeholders for a menu that's not yet up, there will be happy hour specials on cocktails, beer, and food.

That food, of course, comes from Blue Smoke's Southern-born chef, Jean-Paul Bourgeois. According to an invitation to an upcoming press preview, it should include things like fried frogs legs, boiled peanut hummus, and a bison burger.

Some other small but salient details: Porchlight will have a game room, which can apparently be rented out. It shouldn't be surprising that it has cool matchbooks:
