Mandy Oser and Amorette Casaus, the duo behind Hell's Kitchen's Ardesia are opening the doors to their  Williamsburg wine bar, The Camlin, tonight. Casaus, a veteran of El Quinto Pino, has devised a menu of small plates and larger format dishes that are meant to go well with wine bar's raison d'être: think cheese, charcuterie, oysters, and bar snacks like croquettes and olives. Those that want to eat a full meal can choose from comfort food staples like a wedge salad and braised short ribs and quail lasagna. There's also a brunch menu which is replete with the usual suspects: eggs Benedict, oatmeal, pancakes, etc. Update: Note that brunch won't launch for a couple of weeks.

As for the wine list, it offers a breadth of by the glass selections that are eclectic but easy to drink, like Pinot Meunier from the Great Lakes and dry Pedro Giménez grown in Chile. There are 20 plus options in total along with a few carefully selected beers and ciders. They also kept the pricing into consideration, which is nice: no glass of wine is more than $19 and the vast majority are under $15.
