1) Brazilian Carnival
When: Tonight
Where: Botequim
What: Celebrate Carnival at Botequim with a four course dinner including dishes like roast suckling pig, Feijoda and a cashew rice and orange salad. There will also be a show featuring bedazzled Samba dancers, a DJ, plenty of beads and masks, and, ideally, a few caipirinhas. The price of admission is $75.
2) Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball
When: Tomorrow, 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Where: The Lion
What: The Lion's throwing a Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball with live music, classic New Orleans cocktails (think Sazerac, Vieux Carre, French 75, etc), and snacks like oysters, crawfish and shrimp. Black tie is suggested and masks are mandatory. Tickets range in price from $50 to $110 depending when you buy and how much you plan on drinking.
3) One Night Stand
When: Today, noon to midnight
Where: Birreria
What: Eataly's rooftop beer bar is offering $3 beer and food tickets. There will be at least 18 different beer options and plenty of small bites.
4) Winter Hot Dog Championship
When: Tomorrow, 1 p.m.
Where: Jimmy's No. 43
What: Head to Jimmy's No. 43 for a hot dog competition and some beer. $20 will buy you three gourmet dogs and a vote to choose the winner. Revolving Dansk will also be in attendance, putting out some Scandinavian inflected sausages. Get your tickets here.

What: Au Za'atar, Upland, and Momofuku Ma Peche are all launching brunch service this weekend.
