Upland and Bar Bolonat Launch Brunch; Culture Expands Meat Hook Sandwich Selection

WEST VILLAGE — Israeli restaurant Bar Bolonat is debuting brunch tomorrow. The menu ranges from egg in a hole to sphicha (a dish of flakey Yemenite dough called malawach, topped with spinach, ground beef, and a baked egg). MURRAY HILL — Upland is also starting brunch service this weekend. Expect "eggs in hell" with tomatoes, oregano, and fresno chili, the restaurant's signature estrella chicken liver pasta, and a few pizzas. [EaterWire]
