Ever popular Williamsburg music venue The Knitting Factory is finally getting its own restaurant this summer, all the better to feed starved concert-goers. The spot right next door, which previously housed the izakaya Qoo Robata, doesn't have a name or menu yet, but the Knitting Factory's general manager tells Gothamist the team is "really stoked." The space holds around 50 people and, of course, a liquor license application is in the works. The Knitting Factory actually already owns a few restaurants, one in Spokane, Washington and two in Hollywood, so this isn't exactly the first trip to the rodeo. Design firm Hecho Inc — which in its spare time makes those hipster filled dumpster pools — will be remaking the space.
