The owners of Philadelphia baked goods powerhouse High Street on Market opened a New York outpost Monday at 637 Hudson Street. The breakfast menu at the brand-new West Village location offers house-made bagels, beet-cured salmon, and four breakfast sandwiches including one called "The Bodega," which includes malted breakfast sausage, egg, and cheddar on a sage-black pepper biscuit. During lunch the High Street on Hudson team is offering soups, salads, and sandwiches, all served with house-made bread. Pastries like the black bialy and the red-eye danish that made the original High Street famous will also be on the menu.
The restaurant is currently open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch with dinner to start early next year. Take a look around the space in the photos above and if you happen to stop by, let us know what you think.
