Biblio, a restaurant and bar that launched with a library theme in 2013, has closed its doors, according to an announcement. The spot at 149 North 6th St. debuted more than two years ago with book-themed touches, like a menu called "Table of Contents" with categories like "preface" and "appendix." The food offerings were eventually simplified, and Biblio became known as a neighborhood spot with a welcoming outdoor garden space.
In a statement posted to Facebook, the restaurant's owners write that business hasn't been great. "2015 was a very tough year for us at Biblio, and sadly we have to close our doors," the statement says. "Despite serving great comfort food, global craft beers, cocktails, spirits, and wine at affordable prices we just could not get by. Thanks to everyone that has come and supported us since opening in May 2013." Eater has reached out and will update with any new information.
