Union Square Cafe Finishes its 30-Year Run on East 16th Street

On Saturday night, Danny Meyer's trailblazing restaurant Union Square Cafe served its last meal at its original home at 21 East 16th Street.  In spring 2016, the restaurant will reopen a few blocks away in the old City Crab space at the corner of Park Avenue South and 19th Street. A tipster walking by yesterday afternoon took this photo from the street — is that a piano player providing music for the clean-up team? Perhaps.
