The owner of Takayama Sushi Lounge on Staten Island is in the hospital after getting slashed in the face with a broken glass inside his restaurant earlier this month. This morning, reputed Bonnano family boss Peter Lovaglia was arrested and charged with the attack. DNAinfo reports that the restaurateur, whose last name is Forte, heard someone calling his name inside the restaurant around 2:40 a.m. on November 1. When he turned to see who it was, someone allegedly smashed him in the face with the glass, leaving him blind in one eye, with cuts all over his face. The police got a photo of the suspect, and this week the NYPD's Organized Crime Investigation Division identified him as Lovaglia. He's being held in police lock-up while awaiting arraignment. Lovaglia spent four years in prison for extortion, plus two more years for violating probation. He was released from prison last March.
