Take a Look Inside Black Seed Bagel in the East Village

New, 1 comment

Take a sneak peak at the new bagelry opening next week.

Here is a look around the new East Village outpost of Matt Kliegman and Noah Bernamoff's Black Seed, which is expected to open in the middle of next week. As at the original Soho location, bagels will be made fresh on premises but the addition of a larger kitchen means that there will be an expanded menu here. In addition to deli and breakfast sandwiches — including one made with Mile End's smoked meat — the East Village menu also includes pizza bagels and a handful of salads (check out the menu here). Eventually, the restaurant will offer a few other baked goods like cookies and pound cake. For over a century, this space was home to Italian bakery De Robertis. The team from Home did the renovation.
