Jacob Hadjigeorgis and his partners at popular Upper West Side gastropub Jacob's Pickles are planning to open a new restaurant in the space at 2315 Broadway that housed Tom Valenti's Ouest for over 14 years. The new restaurant will be similar in spirit to Jacob's Pickles — the team is describing this as a "classic American eatery." Valenti closed Ouest back in June because the lease was up and also, according to the chef, the neighborhood changed. Valenti told the Times: "We used to get the artists, writers, intellectuals, performers on a regular basis...the new people in the big apartments have different interests."
The new restaurant from the Jacob's team is slated to open in spring 2016.
