Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Eater's fourth-annual Cocktail Week, a five-day celebration of this city's most beloved bars and the people who make them tick. From now until oh, about 5 p.m. on Friday, we'll be highlighting the city's most influential cocktail parlors and the trends that they spawned, as well as the unsung heroes of the bar world who are quietly crushing it. There will be maps, guides, photos, essays, and recommendations galore. But we can't do it all alone — we need your help. As part of the festivities, we want to hear about the local bars that you love the most, and specifically, what makes them special beyond the liquor, wine, or beer that they serve. Share your local bar favorites over on Eater's forums, and stay tuned for more hard-shaken, swizzle-stirred, Benton's bacon-washed excitement throughout the week.
