Last spring Boston-based restaurateur duo Tim and Nancy Cushman opened their first New York project, the Roof at Park South. A restaurant was also promised this year, once the hotel renovations were completed, and rumor was that it would be another outpost of their critical darling O Ya. A tweet from Tim today confirms that the rumors were spot on, and suggest that the restaurant is not too far from opening.

The team is looking for staff for a second O Ya, the high-end Japanese restaurant that Frank Bruni named the best new restaurant in 2008 and Bill Addison gave high marks to on his Road to the 38. Hiring front of the house staff usually means a restaurant is opening soon, though a rep for the restaurant says things are still in construction mode. The hotel confirms that the restaurant will provide room service to guests, but that will come later, once the restaurant has settled in.
Correction: The restaurant sends word that the intel about room service isn't correct.
