Crown Heights to Get Its First and Only Bar Devoted to Cocktails and Dessert Next Week

Butter & Scotch starts serving pie, cupcakes, and cocktails in the former home of a Crown Fried Chicken very soon.

Next week, Crown Heights will take another big step down the path of gentrification when it gets its very first dessert and cocktail bar. Butter & Scotch, the pastry and booze purveying lounge from pie professional Allison Kave (of First Prize Pies), and tiny cupcake specialist Keavy Bleuher (of Kumquat Cupcakery) will open in the former home of a Crown Fried Chicken next Thursday, the duo tell Eater.

When it does, it will serve not only pies, cupcakes, and cocktails, but also soda fountain concoctions like floats and shakes, plus coffee and breakfast pastries in the morning. Just remember to drink lots of water. That kind of sugar intake can lead to a nasty hangover.
