Shuttered Back Forty Already Up For Grabs on Avenue B

No word on the rent, but key money is a cool $250,000.

The home of the dearly and very recently departed Back Forty is already on the market, notes EV Grieve. The listing doesn't give much away; it leaves out the cost of rent, but mentions that key money is $250,000. Peter Hoffman abruptly shuttered the restaurant just before Christmas, after seven years in the East Village, saying "a difficult landscape and lease uncertainty" forced the closure. Back Forty West is still going strong in Soho.
