A lot's changing at the International Culinary Center. When the school's 30 year lease ends this November, it will shutter its Michelin Bib-recommended restaurant L'Ecole, where students have long gotten their feet wet in the business. After the restaurant closes, students will move on to paid externships, most likely so the school can avoid more lawsuits like the one it's facing now from former students who say the school over-promised post-graduation jobs. The shutter will leave open a sizeable space on Broadway, but there's really no telling if a restaurant will move in. It could just become an H&M, because it seems the neighborhood can never have too many of them.
