The ever-present lines at the handful of Blue Bottle locations in New York may finally get slightly shorter in 2015. The team is working on big expansion plans locally. First up, this spring Park Slope will get a Blue Bottle, complete with a petit patio and a food program. It's too early for final menus, but locals should keep their fingers crossed for the cafe's Belgian waffles.
More locations will come as the Williamsburg roasting plant and cafe relocates later in the year. The cafe will move just around the corner into a roomier space on North 4th (next to what will be the borough's first McNally-Jackson) in the fall, and the team is still on the prowl for a new larger roasting facility to keep up with the city's caffeine addition.
