Lower East Side nightlife impresario Rob Shamlian is taking a serious step away from the business. He's put Southern-inspired restaurant The Derby (nee Tiny Fork) on the market with a sign outside saying he will consider "best & final offers" until January 15. He's also trying to get rid of Spitzer's Corner and Los Feliz, handing them off to the owner of nearby Mezetto (though the community board won't vote on that until later this month). The drastic moves are to save Shamlian financially, or so say the rumors. For now, at least, he's still holding on to Fat Baby.
