Fire Blazes in the Basement of LES Bar Black Crescent

Last night a fire broke out at Black Crescent, a year old oyster and cocktail bar on the LES. Bystanders said it looked like an electrical fire that started in the basement of the restaurant. Firefighters put out the fire quickly, but had to break almost all of the the building's windows in the process.

No word yet on the extent of the damage or a reopening date. As you might expect, Black Crescent's phone line has been disconnected and none of the restaurant's social media accounts are revealing anything.
