Bark's first Manhattan location is nearly ready to open. The team behind the popular Brooklyn hot dog shop sends word that they are still waiting on DOB sign-offs so they can get a gas hookup, but nearly everything else appears to be in place and all of the staff is hired. NYU's campus has been a tough spot for hot dogs in recent years. Crif Dogs, which took over the old Dogmatic space, had a very short run. Perhaps, Bark can break the curse.
While the team waits for the gas hookup, they are re-testing their Bark Red Ale, which they make with Sixpoint Brewery and will serve at the new outpost. It will be on tap next week at All'onda, The Meatball shop in the West Village, Nicoletta, Louro, and Blue Ribbon BK.
