For Those Who Brave the Cold, Here Are NYC's Snow-Day Specials

Now that the historic(ally disappointing) blizzard has passed, most of NYC's restaurants are opening their doors as the day draws on. And to celebrate New York's triumph over nature's weakness, many of them are offering specials and discounts. Here are some of the best of them.

Giovanni Rana Pastificio & Cucina will remain open for full service, including their sit-down restaurant and Pastificio takeaway counter, offering a complimentary warm chocolate ravioli dessert.

All three NYC Rosa Mexicano restaurants will be open at 4 p.m. today for happy hour followed by full dinner service, offering complimentary tasters of their frozen pomegranate margarita or Mexican hot chocolate, plus an amuse bouche for each table.

BLT Bar & Grill, BLT Fish Shack, and Horchata are all offering an all-day happy hour.

Charlie Bird will have free Counter Culture Coffee through lunch today.

Eataly is open today, and Birreria is offering free tastes of their beer.

La Palapa has $5 frozen margaritas all day and all night.

Louro opens tonight at 5:30pm for dinner and will waive corkage fees tonight. Their happy hour will also be in full swing with $8 cocktails, $6 wine, $4 beer, and free snacks offered with drink orders.

Paulaner Brauhaus is opening today at 3 p.m. and everyone will receive a complimentary glühwein.

The Pines will be open tonight with a limited menu and half-price glasses of wine.

Professor Thom's is hosting a movie marathon today with a 12-7 p.m. happy hour and free bottomless buckets of popcorn.

Sekend Sun will be open today and serving $6 hot toddies.
