Another Park Slope Pizzeria Bites the Dust; M. White Calls It Quits

Plus, more shutters around town.

Midtown East: A tipster sends word that cheap neighborhood sushi spot Yamakage Tokyo is packing up and moving out of its home on 54th Street and 2nd Avenue.

East Village: M. White Bar, which used to go by the name Mug Lounge, shuttered about two weeks ago, reports EV Grieve. Fans seemed to dig the music scene in the back lounge, but the place was never packed.

Bushwick: After seven years, Starr Deli's owner Ewa Swiader will move her pierogi business out west, or at least that's the plan. The Polish immigrant is moving with her husband to California and hopes to open a Polish restaurant somewhere in LA. Starr will stay open for another two weeks, notes DNAinfo.

Park Slope: Slice joint Napoleon Pizza appears to have bitten the dust after just seven months on 5th Avenue, says Park Slope Stoop. There's been a whole lot of movement in the Slope's pizza scene lately.

East Village: Pinkberry on Saint Mark's couldn't weather the winter, according to Bedford and Bowery. DF Mavens just opened down the block, so that may have been the final push towards the shutter.
