Since 2010, Bed-Stuy's Dough has been selling its giant, chewy, yeasted doughnuts across NYC. But unlike most of the city's other top doughnut purveyors, Dough has never ventured into the cake doughnut realm. At least until now:
Fany Gerson, the doughnut maker in charge, tells Eater that the cake doughnuts should make their debut in three or four weeks, and when they do they'll come in three flavors: apple-pear cider, chocolate malt, and buttermilk (or maybe sour cream). Alongside Pies 'N' Thighs' brand new sourdough doughnuts, this makes it a good time to be a doughnut fanatic. And don't forget, there's now a Dough in Manhattan too.
