Le District, the French counterpart to Eataly, is coming together way downtown and owner/downtown restaurant king Peter Poulakakos and his partner Paul Lamas are looking at a late March opening date. When the massive complex debuts, it will be home to a full service restaurant called Beaubourg, run by Barcelona-born chef Jordi Valles. There will also be a cafe, wine shop, and a large marketplace that will presumably be perfumed by ripe rounds of brie. Expect that odeur to blend with whiffs of rotisserie chicken at Le District's rotisserie station. Meanwhile, take an early look around.
