Brooklyn Ramen Hit Chuko Should Be Up and Running in Bushwick by March

It'll serve more ramen, more appetizers, and have a backyard for grilling.

After a little more than a year, the team behind the hit Prospect Heights ramen shop Chuko are getting close to opening their Bushwick spinoff. Jamison Blankenship, David Koon, and James Sato are currently turning a space on Evergreen Avenue into a beer garden of sorts, and Blankenship tells Fork in the Road he hopes to be open by March.

The new place will be a blend of the original Chuko, and the newer Bar Chuko, which started serving yakitori and other bar snacks up the street from Chuko last summer. On that note, Blankenship promises more of everything, from ramen options to appetizers. There's a yard out back, which is where the beer garden thing comes in. Come warmer weather, the team hopes to do some grilling out there, and offer $1 skewers.
