Madison's Underground Food Collective Comes to Fitzcarraldo; Mission Cantina Now Serves Caviar

Plus, a new life in Chicago for The Harrison's old bar.

WILLIAMSBURG – Underground Food Collective, which runs a butcher shop, a charcuterie operation, and the restaurant Forequarter in Madison, WI is cooking a collaborative dinner with Fitzcarraldo on January 16 and 17. They'll serve a six-course tasting menu for $65 per person in two seatings each night. Tickets must be purchased in advance online. [EaterWire]

LOWER EAST SIDE – Now that he has caviar on the menu at Mission Chinese Food, it looks like Danny Bowien decided he might as well start serving it at Mission Cantina too. The latest version of the Cantina menu includes 50 grams of caviar for $115, served with a side of "endless tortillas," plus crema and chives. There's also now a Benton's ham plate on the menu, and the taco count is down to just two. [Twitter]

TRIBECA – Many locals are still mourning the loss of the Harrison, which closed last month after 14 years in Tribeca, but at least its bar will live on. Tribeca Citizen hears that a guy who worked as a barback when the restaurant opened is now opening his own bar in Chicago, and asked Jimmy Bradley if he could buy the bar. Bradley just gave it to him instead, and though it's now in pieces, it won't be for long. [TC]
