Just in time for its 90th birthday, the original Palm steakhouse is getting a makeover. The restaurant will close in April, while the owners put a seven-figure sum towards an upgrade. Tell Crain's NY it "won't be a radical renovation, but we are going to change some of the layout." That layout change may mean fewer booths and more bar seating (there are currently a measly two seats at the bar) and better compliances with the ADA. Some of 20's and 30's-era drawings of famous figures on the wall will also get restored. The restaurant, which already went through a two week renovation last year, should be back up and running by the holidays.
