Look Around Pies 'n' Thighs Brand Spanking New Lunch Counter on Canal Street

Williamsburg favorite Pies 'n' Thighs is open its Manhattan outpost this coming Monday, only a few days past their anticipated opening. The space is bigger than the one in the 'burg and sports a long lunch counter and vintage stools salvaged from the original Kent Avenue shop. There are also some cozy two-tops flanking the counter and tables in a snug back room for larger parties. The menu is not available yet (update: here it is), but the famous fried chicken, biscuits, pies, and hamburger are all expected to be present and accounted for. Additionally, there will be expanded sandwich options, sourdough doughnuts fried in-house, and if the iconography on the walls is any indication, then pancakes as well. To wash it all down, there will be beer and wine.
