RIP Gray's Papaya: Liquiteria Now Open in the Greenwich Village Home of a Hot Dog Legend

Almost exactly a year after the great Papayagate of 2014, when the Greenwich Village Gray's Papaya met its sad demise, Liquiteria has officially begun hawking green juice in the space. The trendy juice chainlet, which was able to pay up the extra $20,000 in rent that the landlord demanded, took over the space almost as soon as the legendary hot dog establishment was dismantled, but has taken its sweet time actually opening.

Now, however, the final nail is in the coffin, and all we have left are the many, many, memories. RIP Gray's.
