In mere months, Wahlburgers, the rapidly growing burger chain founded by actor Mark Wahlberg's brother, Paul, will make its New York debut. After finding great success in Massachusetts (aided, no doubt, by the A&E reality show of the same name), Mark, Donnie, and Paul Wahlberg announced their mega nationwide expansion plans early last month. Among franchises in Florida, Vegas, Philadelphia, and Canada, they promised seven NYC outposts, and are quickly making good on that promise.
The brothers sold franchise rights to John Cestare, of Big Apple Burgers, who will helm all those Wahlburger outposts in the city, according to Page Six. The first outlet is slated to open in Coney Island on May 1, and six more will follow in Manhattan at some point after.
