Protests

mcds.jpgAbout 400 fast food workers rallied outside a Times Square McDonald's (the one with the gaudy marquee) this morning, demanding a wage hike to $15 an hour, and 19 were arrested for disorderly conduct. The protest was one of 150 demonstrations held nationwide today outside of various fast food restaurants, and is part of an ongoing effort by workers to achieve the right to unionize and a living wage.
