It looks like Bobby Flay is very seriously considering opening a restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky, and perhaps even an outpost of one of his New York babies. He tells the Courier-Journal that he's scouting locations in the city this very weekend, and even throws out a few possibilities for what the restaurant might be.
Maybe, he says, he'll open an outpost of his Mediterranean crowdpleaser Gato, because "Diners are eschewing meat more and more for healthier vegetables…[and] Louisville might be a place to experiment with that." But he might also decide to relocate his now-shuttered Mesa Grill there. He's always vehemently promised to reopen that "old friend" somewhere, and now he says, "I am either going to open it in New York or in Louisville."
