Houston St.'s Sexy Boudoir Bar Madame X Isn't Closing After All

False alarm, 16-year-old boudoir-themed lounge Madame X is not closing, as a previous real estate posting had us believe. Owner Amy McCloskey tells Eater that while the building "is for sale they haven't gotten a bite on it in months and months....No one wants it because of the peculiarities of the building code." Meanwhile, McCloskey says the landlord is happy to have her there, but is looking for a partner who could share the burden of the liquor license and foist over some more money for rent. The bar shut down for two days this week to do a quick refresh (a new coat of paint, spackling, and such) and is reopening tonight.
