Anne-Sophie Pic, one of the few female chefs in the world to earn three Michelin stars (and the only female chef in France to do so) now has plans to open two restaurants in New York City next year. Both will be located in a new office tower at 510 Madison Avenue, and both are offshoots of restaurants she already operates overseas.

On the ground floor will be Metcafé, the more casual of the two. On the second floor is La Dame de Pic, a "relaxed yet elegant" fine dining restaurant. If it's anything like her Paris restaurant of the same name, expect tasting menus based on fragrances (she collaborates with Japanese perfume expert Takasago). No word yet on exact opening dates for either.
