It looks like Rosette, the Lower East Side new American restaurant which opened less than a year ago, may soon close. Early last month chef Nick Curtin left to pursue cooking in Copenhagen and now a filing with Community Board 3 indicates that a new tenant is vying for the space, reports Bowery Boogie.

An "Asian inspired" restaurant helmed by one Andrew Yang hopes to get approval to operate in the space on East Broadway. A sample menu supplied with the application includes tea smoked chicken and a sweet and sour pork chop. The venture is seeking permission for 18 tables, two barsm and opening hours until 1 a.m. during the week and 2 a.m. Thursday through Sunday. Eater reached out to management of Rosette but has yet to hear back. The restaurant was was closed over the holiday weekend, it is scheduled to open this afternoon at 5:30pm. Stay tuned for more information.
