Huge Fire Ruins Five-Course Dinner at Midtown Pub

Twitter

A major fire broke out at last night Manchester Pub in Turtle Bay around 7:15 p.m. "Everything was really kind of good and then I look in the kitchen and saw these huge flames….They were massive! But everyone pretended that nothing was going on," a diner told the Daily News. Diners, who were eating a five course beer pairing dinner put on by chef Ashton Keefe, were evacuated in the middle of the meal, before (as the paper notes) they even had a chance to get their chicken and waffles or their pumpkin-stuffed shells. It took 140 firefighters an hour to put out the fire. So far, no injuries have been reported.
