Boomwich, Izzy's BBQ Addiction, and More Coming Soon

Welcome to the weekly plywood report, a roundup of restaurants in the works around the city.

1) Boerum Hill: An awning is up at ex-Pete Zaaz chef Peter Entner's new sandwich shop, Boomwich on Atlantic Avenue. Butcher paper is still lining the windows but through a crack one can spot an abundance of white subway tiles. [PLYWOOD]

2) Crown Heights: A kosher barbecue restaurant called Izzy's BBQ Addiction is slated to open next month at 397 Troy Avenue, reports DNAinfo. The 25 seat space will carry sliced and pulled brisket, beef ribs, smoked poultry, and pastrami. The smoking is Texas style. [DNAinfo]

4) Chelsea: A location of Thai restaurant Dee Daa is moving into the old BBQue's Smoke Shack space at 688 6th Avenue. This will be the third Manhattan location of the fast casual restaurant, which serves a basic menu of noodles, curries, and stir fries. [PLYWOOD]

5) Columbia Waterfront: A bar called Tony's Public House is coming to Columbia Street near Union Street. A sign on the plywood says: "A place to call home...if your home had big ass TVs, ridiculously good food and beer taps coming out of the living room walls." It looks like the team is still seeking community board approval and is planning for a 2015 open. [PLYWOOD]
