Legendary Greek restaurant and party spot Nammos-Mykonos is planning to open in New York in 2015. Nammos by the Sea, as the New York outpost will be called, will be on the top of the Battery Maritime Building, just next to the State Island Ferry, reports The Tribeca Citizen. Greek-American businessman and restaurateur Peter Poulakakos is bringing over chef Ibrahim Sammy from the Mykonos original to run the place, which will also host an event hall with space for 2,500, and a hotel with 61 rooms, reports Greek publication Protothema. Poulakakos, who owns several restaurants in the neighborhood with his father, plans to import Greek fish and ingredients to use in the restaurant. No word on an opening date in 2015, but stay tuned.
