Steve Cuozzo argues that Katy Sparks' departure from Tavern on the Green might give the restaurant an opportunity to redeem itself. But he also wonders, "How long can the 'new' Tavern survive under a crushing burden of city rules which make it all but impossible to book large, catered events — which were the old Tavern's main profit engine?" And he notes that other restaurant companies "quietly circling," in case the Tavern's newest attempt fails. [NYP]
