Gallo Nero Advertises Heteronormative Ice Cream

It's hard to say what the team behind Gallo Nero restaurant was thinking when they posted an ice cream ad that reads "The Big STRAIGHT Ice Cream." The sign is obviously a dig at the West Village outpost of the Big Gay Ice Cream empire and not something that co-owner Douglas Quint took lying down. He went on the company account and tweeted: "If you pass by @galloneronyc maybe you could pop in & let em know what you think of this advertising campaign." It doesn't seem likely that this campaign will sit well with the neigborhood.
