Crown Reopens, But the Building Is for Sale

Courtesy of Crown

When Crown closed earlier this summer for "4th of July renovations" it seemed like it might not reopen. But now a representative sends word that the restaurant is back this week with a new "Farm to Crown" section on its menu (which includes dishes like Long Island duck served with peaches and purslane). Despite rumors that partners John Delucie and Sean Largotta were shopping around their restaurant group, which also includes The Lion and Bill's, the representative confirms that the group is not for sale. However, the building that houses Crown is. What that will mean for the restaurant is still unclear, but this is potentially just a brief return. Stay tuned.
