West Village, prepare for brisket. The Greenwich Avenue location of Mighty Quinn's officially opens to the public today. This is owner Hugh Mangum's fourth outpost of his hit barbecue joint, but only the second full restaurant in NYC after the East Village original. It will serve the same menu of sweet, sweet smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and more as the other locations, plus it's adding wine to its repertoire for the first time. While the East Village Mighty Quinn's only serves beer, this location will also offer a selection of five American wines, for those who prefer to drink red with their beef. The new spot will also soon have sidewalk seating for 20.
Mangum, who first started selling his smoked meat to epic lines at Smorgasburg more than two and a half years ago, now has outposts in the East Village, New Jersey, and at Hudson Eats. And later this month, those preferring not to leave the borough of Brooklyn will be able to chow down on the ribs and brisket at Berg'n when it opens its doors on August 27.
