TRIBECA — Laotian restaurant Khe-Yo is celebrating its one year anniversary this week with a "bang bang butter poached lobster bahn mi." The $17 sandwich is an entire lobster's worth of meat, cooked in butter, topped with hot sauce, pickled vegetables, and arugula, and stuffed into a french roll. [EaterWire]

FLATIRON — David Waltuck and George Stinson will start serving brunch at élan this coming weekend. The menu includes a smoked salmon croque monsieur, blintzes with sweet ricotta and "the chef's breakfast" featuring eggs, bacon and smashed potatoes. Select items from the dinner menu will also be available, including the much-discussed chicken pot pie and General Tso's sweetbreads. [EaterWire]

NATIONAL — The massively popular mobile payment app Square has purchased premier delivery service Caviar, which delivers from Mission Cantina, Mile End and many other excellent restaurants. According to Caviar's blog, the "product and service will remain the same…[and will] operate separately from Square for the time being." The deal's rumored to be worth $100, but there's no confirmation on that number. [~EN~]
