Pranna's on Probation, But Planning a Big Expansion

Krieger

Boozy brunch spot Pranna better clean up its act, or there will be no more bottomless mimosas. Last night Community Board 5 told the owners that the restaurant is being put on probation for the next three months period after a video of some very drunk brunch-goers was posted online, reports Gothamist. The spot must clean up its act or lose its liquor license. Co-owner Rajiv Sharma announced last night that he and his wife are taking over the entire Northeast corner of 28th street and plan to open a high end Indian restaurant and cut down the size of Pranna. Sharma says he's in talks with a Michelin Starred chef, though he hasn't exactly had the best track record with chefs in the past. Changes should be coming in January.
