Last night close to 5,000 white-clad New Yorkers lugged white chairs and tables on subways and descended upon Nelson A. Rockefeller Park for the fourth Le Diner en Blanc. The annual fete is a Parisian export that's ballooned into an international trend, with pop-up parties everywhere from Hong Kong to Rwanda. Participants who registered were notified of the "secret" dinner location yesterday afternoon, and then swarmed into Battery Park City in their finest whites. Many guests packed their own picnic, but for those New Yorkers who opted for catered food, Todd English's team prepped a of menu of cavatelli, chicken breast, and a Korean skirt steak. The evening wrapped up with an after party at PH-D at The Dream Hotel. Check out the scene below.
