Last night Danny Meyer, Michael Anthony, and the rest of the team at Gramercy Tavern held a fond farewell party for managing partner Kevin Mahan, who is leaving his position after 15 years with the restaurant. Mahan has played a major role in the restaurant's development, but discussing his departure last month, he told Eater National "I think this restaurant...will continue to do exactly what it's done... energy will continue to push this restaurant." He's being replaced by Kim DiPalo, who herself has worked for the restaurant for nine years. His immediate plans are to spend time with family, and no word yet on what might be next.
