Is Anthony Rudolf Eyeing the Preserve 24 Space?

Photo: Krieger

Houston Street's most bizarre restaurant of late, Preserve 24, which shuttered two months ago for renovations, is now headed to court. Serge Hoyda, the landlord of the space, filed a lawsuit last week to evict the restaurant, claiming that the Preserve 24 team sold the bar illegally to one Anthony W. Rudolf (the terms of their lease don't allow them to sell the place to a third party).

Anthony Rudolf is, of course, the former director of operations of Per Se. At the moment there's not confirmation that the two are definitely one in the same, but either way, according to the suit, Rudolf's team wants to renovate the place. The parties are headed to court on September 8 to duke it out over the space and all the stuff in it, including that giant ice cage.
